India’s 74th Independence Day 2020

About 25 VIPs gathered at the Consulate of India, Denpasar, Bali, this morning (15-08-2020). To witness the unfurling ceremony of the Indian flag and than to listen to the Address to the Nation by the Hon’ble President of India “Shri Ram Nath Kovind” on the eve of India’s, 74th Independence Day.
There was also a short dance performance and after that followed by a vegetarian breakfast – tea, dosa, cutney, and fruits. B. K., Sister Janaki also participated in this very auspicious celebration.

Sister Janaki visits East Kalimantan - Balikpapan
February 5 - 8 2019
Kalimantan is the largest island in Indonesia.
The total population of Kalimantan Island is around 16.23 million.
Until now there has been no Baba’s service on the island.
Sister Janaki with one sister from Denpasar, went to East Kalimantan, Balikpapan to give Baba’s knowledge from February 5-8. The program was held in a 5 star hotel.
The participants were very enthusiastic and happy to receive Baba's knowledge.
There were about 35 souls who benefited from the event.
Sister Janaki said that more service can be done if the local people are willing to continue giving support. On the whole everyone who attended the 3 day program took a lot of benefit,and agreed to have further similar programs.

The Introduction of Spiritual Knowledge to Young Surgeon Doctors

About 25 young surgeons received knowledge about how important mind control is, and to be focused and stable in carrying out their duties and profession as doctors.
By setting aside a few minutes of silence each day, it is very helpful mentally to get detoxed from all the negativity and pressure of everyday life.
The doctors all enjoyed listening to spiritual knowledge and found it to be useful for their everyday routine.
The event was held at the Himalaya Gita Patsala organized by BK brother Dr. Putu Yasa and sister Darmawati.

The Consulate General of India in Bali celebrated the above Day with a photo exhibition, Indian vegetarian food festival as well as the re launchingof the commemorative stamp of Gandhi.
Many dignitaries were present to participate in the celebration which was held in museum Pasifika in Nusa Dua, Bali.
BK. Sister Janaki was also present.The new Consul General in Bali. H E Mr. Shri Prakash Chand and his wife, the director of Indian Cultural Centre H. E. Sri ManoharPuri and his wife and many representatives from varies government departments were present.

H. E. Mr. R.O. Sunil Babu has completed his term of office in Bali and was transferred to another posting in a new country. The Newly appointed Consul General in Bali, H. E. Mr. Prakash Chand and his wife were warmly welcomed by the gathering of spiritual and government leaders, BK Sister Janaki also participated in the event, which was held at the Grand Palace Hotel in Sanur.

Bali Prays for World Peace at the World Peace Gong in Denpasar Bali
September 21 2019
Many religions leaders from different ashrams and temples in Denpasar, Bali gathered to pray and meditate for world peace on 21 September 2019. Many expressed their views that peace was very vital for happiness and stability in the world. BK. Sister Janaki also shared that to experience long lasting peace it was necessary to get connected to the Source of Peace, God. There were more than 100 participants in all, who were very enthusiastic to contribute their share of peace vibrations to the world. The event ended with dinners and some local dances.

Brahma Kumaris Gianyar – Bali – Indonesia
August 25 2019
On Sunday 25th August we celebrated the opening of our New Gianyar Centre located in East Bali and it was indeed a grand affair. The opening was Inaugurated by BK Bhavana Sukhia, MA, JP. of New Zealand with local dignitaries and BKs representing the other six Bali Centres.
The Centre is 350 sq/mts (3750 sq/ft) with extensive off-street parking for students. The main meditation hall is designed to seat 100. The Centre is very Indonesian in design featuring Indonesian timbers and tropical gardens (still to be developed)

The Brahma Kumaris family of Denpasar Bali was most fortunate and happy to receive Sister La and group (6 souls) of Thailand on 19 – 27 August. Sister La’s personality wasenchanting with the balance of an easy nature and a treasure store of energy and was wellreceived by everyone. Sister La and group spent many happy days with the Denpasarfamily. During her visit in Bali, Sister La shared her jewels of knowledge and emphasizedto the family to have good yoga, powerful amrit vela, and have all relationship with God. She also spent three days giving workshops.
Rakhi was tied to the BKs and contact souls. More than 750 souls received rakhi from Sister La and Sister Janaki. The Brahmin Family from the 3 locations – Denpasar center, Peace House and Nusa Dua center gathered at the Denpasar Centre for this celebration. The beautiful atmosphere was filled with love, and each soul felt deeply touched. All theparticipants took benefit from Sister La’s and Sister Janaki’s wisdom and the powerfulatmosphere. Overall, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

The Brahma Kumaris family of Peace House Denpasar celebrated Indonesia’s 74 Independence Day
17th and 18th August 2019
Denpasar Brahma Kumaris Centre, Peace House, Celebrated Indonesia’s 74 Independence Day with 70 children who live in the neighborhood of the center.
There was flag hosting and then funwith 70 children. Some of them came with their parents. Many games were introduced to the children and there were also some sport events. The winners were given prizes. Everyone who attended enjoyed the morning program very much, including the parents of the children. Breakfast and lunch were served to all. The Brahma Kumarisof Peace House experienced their first children’s picnic and games with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. They also enjoyed talking to the parents about the benefits of Raja Yoga.
On 18th August the people living in the neighboring area of Peace House came to the center to listen to a spiritual talk by BK Sister Janakion soul consciousness and a health talk by BK brother Dr Oka Putra. He spoke about diabetes, signs, causes and treatment of diabetes. About 48 people attend the evening talks and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere in the center. Many of them also signed up for the 7 days basic course in Raja Yoga.

Independence Day of India - Denpasar, Bali Indonesia

Denpasar Brahma Kumaris celebrated India Independence Day 15 th August 2019 at the Indian Consulate in Denpasar. In the celebration all present paid their respects to Indian flag and sang of the national anthem. The video film on India was shown and everyone enjoyed the show. Then all present are invited to partake of drinks and delicious Indian food- vadae, puris, subji, laddhus and a variety of sweets. About 120 people present in the celebration.

The District of Denpasar celebrated its' 61 Birthday
Tuesday, August 13 2019
The Governor of Bali, H.E, Mr. I Wayan Koster, arranged a series of events to celebrate Denpasar District 61st Birthday.
Among the highlights of the program was a joint prayer held in the Jagatnatha Puri temple of Denpasar. About 120 staff (souls) in the Governor’s office gathered at the temple to pray together for peace and to listen to a lecture given by BK Sister Janaki of Denpasar, on the topic : The Importance of Truth and Transparency. Sister Janaki talked on the importance of values in life for happiness and progress. She also stressed on the benefits keeping a balance between body consciousness and soul consciousness. She pointed out that moral education should be introduced in schools, so that children learn morals early in their lives.

A group of 22 medical students attended a motivational talk by BK Sister Janaki in Himalaya Gita Patshala, Denpasar Bali. The students were very keen to know about spirituality and how to be always positive and happy.
Bk Sister Janaki explained that thought management is very important in our lives for success and happiness. Meditation and spiritual knowledge is the source for the inner positivity and for Peace in life. The gathering was organize by Dr Putu Yasa of Gita Patshala Denpasar.
There was long Q and A session where the student doctors asked about how to face the present day chaos and problem in life in a successful and mature way. They were introduced to Raja Yoga meditation which could be practiced in any place and any time.

Students Visit Denpasar Centre
Friday July 26 2019
As part of their learning and orientation program, a group of 86 students from Mahendradatta University visited the Denpasar Centre. They were given a brief understanding of the Soul, God and Karma. They also visited the Shiv Lingam Exhibition in the centre. During the Q and A session, many asked questions on yoga and karma. The students also went round the centre campus to read all the news items put up. They were in the centre for 3 hours. Here are some pictures. At the event Sister BK Janaki also spoke to the students on the importance of Moral Education and Positive Thinking.

International Yoga Day in Denpasar Bali, Indonesia

More than 2000 souls gathered in the Nitimandala Renon Denpasar Ground for Yoga Day.More than 100 BKs also joined the event. Among the dignitaries present were H E. R.O.Sunil Babu, Consul General of India in Bali. The President of Swami VivekanandaCultural Centre, Mr Manohar Puri, Bk Sister Janaki, Brahma Kumaris Denpasar. MrDewa Diartanida, representative from the Governor’s Office and many others.Everyone enjoyed the early morning exercises.
The President of India H.E. Mr. Narendra Modi’s message was also heard at the beginning of the event. At the end, there were door prizes for lucky winners.

Report of Sister Maureen Goodman’s Visit to Bali
7th – 12th Sept 2018
The Bk family of Bali was most fortunate and happy to receive three very special sisters from Europe. They are Sister Maureen Goodman, Sister Rosemary of London and Sister Egidija of Lithuania. This is their first visit to Bali. Here is the news in detail of their visit to Bali.
* 7th Sept PM the three Sisters arrived at Denpasar centre and were greeted by Sister Janaki and Denpasar centre residents with tilak and flowers.
* 8th Sept morning Sister Maureen read the murli and give a class on spiritual maturity to the family. In the evening there was a grand welcome program, with songs and Balinese dances, Sister Maureen shared her experiences as a brahmin.
* 9th Sept – We had a get together of all Bali Brahma Kumaris on Sunday at Peace House, Denpasar for half a day event. There was murli, breakfast and sharing of experiences. 250 Brahma Kumaris were present.
* 10-11th Sept, Sister Maureen and the group also visited Ubud and Singaraja centres. They met the Brahma Kumaris families and also gave classes on the year of completion and topics of mutual interest.
* On 11th Sept Sister Maureen and party left for Surabaya. In the evening there was a gathering of contact souls to get enlighment on the topic “Being the Architec of Our Life” . More then 40 souls attended and got lots of benefit and blessings. The next morning there was also class for all Brahma Kumaris and a tree planting ceremony in the garden in front of Baba’s centre.

Report of Didi Santosh’s Visit to Indonesia
10th – 24th August 2018
Jakarta (Capital of Indonesia)
Brahma Kumaris of Indonesia had the good fortune of having Didi Santosh of Russia from 10th – 24th August 2018. She came especially to celebrate Raksha Bandhan Festival. First of all, she first visited Jakarta centres from 10th – 14th August 2018. There she met many BKs and tied rakhi to all. She also interacted with the students in a very friendly and cordial way. More than 100 students and contact souls received Rakhi from Didi Santosh.
Surabaya (2nd Largest City in Indonesia)
Didi Santosh arrived in Surabaya on 14th August 2018 in the afternoon, in time to meet and tie rakhi for 70 contact souls who had gathered in the centre that evening. Everyone was happy to meet and greet Didi Santosh and to listen to her talk on “The Greatness of Spiritual Love”. Spiritual love is experienced from the Supreme Soul and is unlimited in nature.
The next morning, that is on 15th August 2018, all BKs received rakhi, bhog, and special blessings from Didi Santosh. After a brief sharing with the Surabaya Family, Didi planted a guava tree in Baba’s little garden witnessed by all Surabaya Brahma Kumaris
Bali ( a Small Hindu Island among the thousands of Muslim Islands)
Didi Santosh spent many happy days with the Bali Family. There was an elaborate welcome ceremony for Didi. She not only shared her own experiences as a Bk but also gave many inspiring classes on dharna. She also made the students active and alert by doing physical stretching every now and then. During her visit in Bali, Didi Santosh visited many centres for tying rakhi to Bks and contact souls. Here are the details:
Denpasar
15th - 17th August 2018
There was a welcome program with songs and dances.
On Thursday Murli was read by Didi Santosh. Bhog was offered in the morning. In the evening there was spiritual sharing by Didi Santosh. Didi shared her experiences as a Brahma Kumari with the family.
18th - 20th August 2018
Rakhi celebration for all BKs and contact souls. More than 700 souls received rakhi from Didi. Didi also gave a special sustenance class for all Bali centre nirwasis.
Ubud
21st August 2018
Didi Santosh tied rakhi and celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the Ubud centre. Mengwi students were also present. Some 76 souls received rakhi.
Gianyar
22nd August 2018
Gianyar Bk family gathered in the centre to met and celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Didi Santosh. After a short class Didi tied Rakhi to 70 Bks.
On the whole Didi Santosh’s visit to Indonesia was one of joy, festivity and spirituality. Everyone enjoyed Didi’s presence.

1. Waste thoughts mean weight for the soul and making it stiff and unflexible.
2. Thinking too much and not the action makes the soul tired.
3. The quality of action we do creates the kind of relationships we have with others.
4. The best relationship we can ever have is with the Supreme Soul. Make this relationship our top priority
HINDI DIVAS
The Indian consulate of India in Denpasar celebrated World Hindi Day. Many Brahma Kumaris of Denpasar also took part in the celebrations. There were speeches about the importance of learning the Hindi language, songs and dances. Indian sweets and drinks were also distributed to all present. Bk Sister Janaki also spoke a few words on this occasion. She hoped that more people would learn Hindi and that more Hindi teachers will come forward to promote the language.
H.E R.O Sunil Babu, the Consul General of India, also spoken on the growing importance of the Hindi language. H.E Mr. Manohar Puri the Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre also gave his views on this topic. Present were 150 souls. The number of Brahma Kumaris present was 30. They presented a Hindi song.

WORLD HINDI DAY
January 10 2019
Brahma Kumaris from Denpasar took park in the Wishwa Hindi Divas held at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Denpasar. Among the guests were the Consul General-H.E R.O Sunil Babu, H.E Manohar Puri, Director of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre and others.
Some of the items were singing, reciting poems or bhajans, group items and children participation. Denpasar BKs took part in singing (solo) and singing (group). The solo song was ‘Tu Pyaar Ka Sagar Hai” and the bhajan was “ Achyutam Keshavam Rama Narayanan”.

HARMONY IN RELATIONSHIPS
Brahma kumaris received an invitation to give a talk on Harmony in Relationships in a secondary technical school in Denpasar, ie Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri I Sukawati. The talk was very well received and more than 200 students and teachers participated. The talk was for one and a half hours and ended with a meditation commentary and Question and Answer session. The Head Master of the school, Mr I ketut Arka S. Pd, M. Pd said that the message of the Brahma Kumaris was very relevant and that he would like more participation of Brahma Kumaris in his school from time to time.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT
Serving the Telecommunication Staff in Denpasar, Bali during their Anniversary celebrations.
The Theme given was “ Energy Management”.
Bk Sister Janaki gave a talk cum slide show on the topic for 90 minutes to an audience of around 80 souls. The talk was mainly on thought management and how this affects efficiency in the work place.
Everyone present was enthusiastic and took benefit from the talk. There was also a commentary and a question and answer session. In the end all participants received blessings. Mr I Nyoman Dirgayasa also received some Brahma Kumaris books from Bk. Sister Janaki.

Celebrating 70th Republic Day of India, Denpasar, Bali, on 26th January 2019
The Consulate General of India in Bali hoistered a grand dinner to celebrate the 70th Republic Day of India at the 5 star Conrad hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali. The Brahma Kumaris were also invited to participate in the celebrations. Apart from having dinner, there were also dancers, songs and yoga exercise. Brahma Kumaris also participated in the events. BK Sister Janaki also attend the function. Everyone present enjoyed the evening program very much. India is proud to be an upcoming and modern India. Serving Builders and Contractors of Denpasar, Bali on 2nd Feb 2019 at Hotel Nirmala
A group of entrepreneur builders and contractors together with their staff of more than 100 souls gathered in the Ballroom of Hotel Nirmala to listen to an inspirational talk by Bk. Sister Janaki on the topic “Managing Inner Energi.” The talk was for two hours with meditation and Question and Answer session. Everyone present was very much impressed and showed great interest in learning simple meditation technique and they will continue to keep in touch with the Brahma Kumaris centre.

Serving School Children, Bali February 9 2019
A local publishing company under the leadership of Ms. Thiolina FM and the staffof Pilar Print invited the Brahma Kumaris to give an inspirational talk to around 60school children below the age of 15 to encourage them to become young writers.This is only the first step and soon many schools will be involved in this endeavor,that is, to encourage other school children to start writing at an early age. Theprogram was held at the Gedung Fashion-Balai Diklat Perindustrian Denpasar, Bali on 9th Feb 2019.
HBk. Sister Janaki gave the talk for 30 minutes on how to concentrate and be creative. She gave many day to day examples of situations and activities where the children could write down their thoughts and experiences in a creative way.The talk was well received and their would be more such talks in the future in Bali.

Tree Planting Ceremony by The Brahma Kumaris of Denpasar, Bali on 17th February 2019 in Serangan
20 Sisters from Brahma Kumaris family participated in a tree planting ceremony in Serangan, Denpasar. About 50 mangrove plants were planted. The kumaris also gave out brochures to everyone around and also meditated for world peace at the beach-slide island. This experience gave the kumaris great enthusiasm and love for nature and plants. More programs on this line will be arranged in future by the sisters of Denpasar family. This gathering of kumaris instilled togetherness and cooperation among the sisters.

Bali Governor Meets Brahma Kumaris of Denpasar on 18th February 2019
The newly appointed Governor of Bali, H.E, Mr. I Wayan Koster, met some representatives of the Brahma Kumaris family in Denpasar. Among them were I Gusti Ngurah Oka, chairman of Brahma Kumaris Denpasar, Ida Pandita Mpu Nabe Daksa Yaksa Acharya Manuaba, Chief Priest and member of PHDI, B.K. Sr. Janaki, the National Coordinator of Indonesia, and others. The Governor showed interested in the work of Brahma Kumaris and expassed that this knowledge be given to the public at large also.
He also promised to promote Brahma Kumaris at various levels because this knowledge can benefit all the Bali community which will then have more peace, calm and stability in meeting day to day challenges. He congratulated the Brahma Kumaris for their untiring effort so far. He was also given some Brahma Kumaris literature, toli and blessings at the end.

World Meditation Hour - Sunday 17 March 2019
On World Meditation Day, one hundred (100) Brahma Kumaris from Denpasar, Bali took part in spreading peace to the world at the great World Peace Gong. The aim of the meditation was to give special vibrations of peace to the whole world in general and Indonesia in particular which will be holding General Elections on 17 April 2019.
During the two and a half hour gathering, there was a peace / silence walk, silent meditation and a commentary on peace. All received toli in the end. It was a beautiful gathering in the park surrounded by trees and chirping of birds. All who participated enjoyed the session.

Holi in Bali - Sunday 23 March 2019
The Indian Consulate in Bali celebrated Holi Festival on 23rd March 2019 in Denpasar. Among the thousands of people gathered were school children of all ages. The Consul General, H.E R.O Sunil Babu said that Holi Festival is a time of celebration and joy.
Representatives of the Governor of Bali, Mrs Wiratni, The Director of India Cultural Centre H.E Mr Manohar Puri and others were present. Brahma Kumaris also took part in the ceremony. There were dances, songs and playing with colours till late in the evening.
The atmosphere was filled with happiness, enthusiasm and warmth. The event was held in the open field of Puputan Badung, Denpasar.

Power of Concentration for Doctors, March 29 2019
31 doctors and 20 Bks gathered in the Gita Patshala on Himalaya Road to listen a talk on the topic “Power Of Concentration”. The talk was given by Bk. Sister Janaki of Denpasar centre. She talked about the benefits of concentration and how to have quality thoughts. There was a question answer session followed by dinner for all. Talks like this which last for one and a half hours will be held once every two months, so that doctors also become spiritualy enthusiased . Dr Putu Yasa who arranges such programs at Himalaya Gita Patshala said that he would continue to give cooperation for this kind of service in the future.

Celebrating the 70th Foundation Day of Indian Council For Cultural Relations in Denpasar Bali on 9th April 2019
Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre Denpasar Bali celebrated the 70th Foundation Day of Indian Council for Cultural Relations with lighting of lamp, songs, dances and talks.
Among the dignitaries present were the ex Governor of Bali Mr I Made Mangku Pastika, Senator Mr I Gusti Ngurah Arya Wedakarna, Consul General of India H.E R.O Sunil Babu, President of SVCC H.E R.O Manohar Puri and Bk Sister Janaki . Arround 70 souls were present.
During the gathering some points of common interest between Bali and India were discussed, especially having more cultural and spiritual exchange.
The life of Swami Vivekananda was also explained and how, till today, he is a great inspiration to all, especially the youth of the world. It was decided that a statue of Swami Vivekananda would soon be erected in the city of Denpasar. The meeting ended with dinner for all.
